After 5 - Help First Aid

Thursday, October 19, 2017 5:00pm - 6:30pm
Location: 1 First Street, Suite 218 (above the LCBO)

Elijah McCaffrey of HELP First Aid is proud to host this months After-5 Event.

Elijah has been teaching first aid for over 24 years, for a number of agencies including Canadian Red Cross, Blue Mountains Fire Department, Canadian Ski Patrol, PADI, Divers Alert Network, and the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy. He started HELP First Aid after suffering a permanent partial disability, to his right shoulder, during a house fire he was fighting with the Blue Mountains Fire Department, on Christmas eve. This experience coupled with training as a Massage Therapist, and Athletic Therapist, provide his students with the most interactive, comprehensive and fun courses. His students describe him as the “Wiki of first aid”, “a walking first aid dictionary”, and “an expert in his field”.

If a family member began choking at dinner, would you know what to do? If your coworker started having chest pain, would you know what to do?

HELP First Aid, can teach you the skills to help in these situations and more. Our Canadian Red Cross courses can take place on your site or at one of our two training facilities (Collingwood or Owen Sound). We offer more than 75 public courses per month from these two locations. We also offer private courses as required.

HELP First Aid is trusted by municipalities such as the Town of Collingwood, Grey Highlands, Clearview Township, Chatsworth, Owen Sound, Town of Gravenhurst; organizations such as the YMCA, Scouts Canada, Loblaws, Metro, Zehrs, Food Basics, Foodland, Longo’s, Great Canadian Superstore, Boston Pizza, Kelseys, Subway, Pita Pit, Canadian Tire, Maclean Engineering, Lafarge Holcim, Staples, Purolator, UPS, CP Rail, CN Rail, daycare centers, doctors, nurses, paramedics, dentists, and many fire departments, including Clearview Fire & Emergency Services,

HELP First Aid offers Canadian Red Cross traditional and blended learning courses, which are all recognized by WSIB, and OH&S. The blended courses consist of completing the theory online prior to attending the classroom theory session. Certifications are issued on the spot, upon successful completion of the course.

HELP First Aid offers courses for individuals, students, workplaces, and other groups, on our site or yours. We travel throughout Ontario providing training. All of our instructors are at the top of their field, including Firefighter training officers, Advanced Care Paramedics, PADI Course Directors, D.A.N. Instructor Trainers.

Available in class courses include Canadian Red Cross CPR (C and HCP), First Aid, Oxygen Administration, First Responder, and Emergency Medical Responder.

Students have flown in from as far away as Dawson City, Yukon from the west, and Truro, Nova Scotia from the east.

Did you know that if your business is covered by WSIB you are required to have staff on each site with First Aid and CPR training? Let us help you maintain compliance with these and other regulations.

Location: 1 First Street, Suite 218 (above the LCBO)

Please note: the parking lot is on the harbor side of the building.

Please drop by for a visit, network and test your skills with a computerized CPR competition!
