South Georgian Bay…is kicking off the New Year with 10 full days (and nights) of Winterfest… A festival that celebrates our area’s finest outdoor winter adventures, local food and fun family entertainment from January 18th through to the 27th! South Georgian Bay WINTERFEST is 10 days of jam-packed fun, dining, live entertainment and outdoor winter activities for the entire family to enjoy! Be our guest…plan to stay at one of the area’s top notch resorts, hotels or B&B’s. This inaugural 10 day event is a celebration of our area’s best food, entertainment, and outdoor winter activities set amongst the natural surroundings of South Georgian Bay. Downtown Collingwood will be your host to an array of family activities with everything from skating, outdoor midway,ice fishing and snowshoe demos to interactive ice sculptures, ice mazes, slides and even ice building blocks. Live, local entertainment will be paired with the ever popular ‘Whiskeylicious’ culinary event to tantalize your taste buds with chef inspired dishes, made with our locally produced Collingwood Whisky throughout the festival in Historic Downtown Collingwood! Dine and indulge on the Collingwood™ themed menus throughout Winterfest, participate in prize giveaways, contests and even sample the product at outdoor ice bars located on patios across the downtown core! We even have a local spa downtown offering a Collingwood™ body scrub and massage special! Enjoy and explore cross-country skiing and snowshoeing on nature trails winding through a 200 year old forest rich with wildlife and perched atop the Niagara Escarpment at Scenic Caves Nature Adventures. Cross Ontario's longest Suspension Bridge and take in the breathtaking 10,000 sq km view of Georgian Bay. Warm up with a cup of hot cider and spending time petting and feeding reindeer! To cap off Winterfest in style - we have a ticketed event just for the adults at Scenic Caves where you will get to delight in sweet and savory local inspired culinary creations in a heated outdoor tent under the stars!
