After 5 - Hospice Georgian Triangle

Hospice Georgian Triangle (HGT) is very proud to host the After 5 event on Thursday, Sept. 7^th.  Please come by Campbell House at 240 Erie Street, and have a tour of our newly expanded residential palliative care home and Day Program rooms built by our community.

HGT started in 1987 as a volunteer, community-based visiting hospice. As a registered charity, HGT provides both professional and trained volunteer care and support to individuals living with life-limiting illness, to their families and to the bereaved, in the Georgian Triangle.  The Ministry of Health funds only 50 per cent of our costs, and while HGT does not charge a fee for services, its programs are made possible only through the generous donations of businesses and individuals in our community.

Campbell House opened its doors on August 5, 2014. Along with our 140 active volunteers, the staff of HGT and Campbell House have supported over 400 individuals and families this year. Registered Nursing and Personal Support Care is provided 24 hours per day, 7 days per week at Campbell House, and HGT also provides support programs for Caregivers, Cancer patients, Chronic Disease/Pain Management, Grief and Bereavement counselling, Art therapy and many other complementary health support programs, all free of charge.

Directions PLEASE enter at the BACK door of Campbell House. Look for the Welcome sign with balloons for the entrance at the BACK. Parking is available in front of Campbell House as well as down the side lot of the House. Overflow parking can be at the baseball diamond on Erie Street. (Please do not park in the apartment building parking lot. Guests have to drive through this parking lot to get to Campbell House.)

There is no charge to attend the Chambers After 5 events and you can bring a one time guest who has not been previously to an After 5, so they can see some advantages of Chamber membership.
