The Megantic Outlaw follows the incredible true story of Donald Morrison, a Scottish-Canadian freedom fighter and folk hero who lived in Lac Mégantic, QC during the 1800s. After his father was swindled out of their family farm, Donald began a crusade against the unjust treatment of settlers in the hopes of inspiring change and spurring action. His quest garnered national attention and nation-wide support, and his manhunt still stands as the longest in recorded Canadian history.
The Megantic Outlaw is a compelling tale of love, loyalty, betrayal and forgiveness that explores the importance of unity in the face of adversity, and the world premiere of this brand new play is happening this August at Bygone Days Heritage Village! Don't miss your chance to be part of Canadian theatre history! The Megantic Outlaw runs for 10 performances only:
